Puppy Meet & Greet

PUPPY MEET & GREETS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Do you remember the days when you would go to the breeder’s house and meet the Mom and Dad, play with the litter of puppies and see which is the cutest puppy gravitates towards you?…. and THIS is how you picked the puppy for you.

Times have changed. Veterinary Medicine has studies that prove this is NOT the best way to select a puppy…If this is the method in which you want to choose your next puppy, then I am NOT the breeder for you. Let me explain why:

REASON NUMBER ONE: I get many calls from those just looking to play with puppies for free, and I get it. Who doesn’t want to play with little fur balls all day, everyday? Unfortunately, I am a small business and this is a huge time waster.

REASON NUMBER TWO: My puppies tend to sell very quickly, especially from the months of NOVEMBER to MAY. Coordinating the schedules of those on my waiting list to allow those interested according to deposit date to view the pups is very time consuming and frustrating for everyone involved.

REASON NUMBER THREE: It was right before covid and I had an older friend showing a litter of puppies to a couple interested. They came, played with the puppies and then decided against it, claiming the puppies were just too rambunctious for them. At this point, the couple had only wasted the lady’s time, which is frustrating, but a darker, more sinister agenda would be revealed….Later that night, that same lady was then held at gunpoint. The couple stole all of the puppies, Mom, and Dad, and any cash she had on hand.

REASON NUMBER FOUR: Veterinary Medicine has come a long way in the past 20 years. This includes canine health, temperament, food, etc. Spending an hour with a puppy and making a decision to adopt a certain puppy based on that ONE interaction is not an accurate way to choose a friend. I will post the studies that I have found that support my belief.

TAKE HOME MESSAGE: I remember getting a puppy fifteen years ago and meeting with the breeder, the Sire and Dam and seeing which puppy bumbled to me…I remember thinking THEN, making a choice on a puppy that I hope to have for 15 years based on an hour interaction does not seem like the best use of resources…Fast forward 20 years and I 100% agree with my original statement. Everyone has a puppy preference of color, sex, etc-but when it comes to each puppy’s temperament and activity level this will make or break you. It is my goal to help you choose a puppy that will COMPLIMENT your life, not complicate it. For that reason, when I have a litter of puppies, I post high resolution images of them on a locked page and allow those on my waiting list to choose first. I am in close contact with new owners and what puppy temperament, activity level, and color, sex, etc. they are wanting. The more information you give me about your lifestyle, the better it allows me to match a puppy with the right environment. I have spent weeks caring for the puppies and years caring for their parents; I know them very, very well.

Meet & Greet Guidelines

  1. Puppy Meet & Greets must be scheduled. During non-peak times, I am running about 2 months behind. NOTE: From the months of NOVEMBER to APRIL, I am NOT able to accommodate Puppy Meet & Greets; this is PEAK puppy time.
  2. To schedule an appointment, you must complete a Puppy Application, including 2 Character References AND you must submit a $75.00 Puppy Meet & Greet Administrative Fee monies will NOT go towards the purchase of a specific puppy.
  3. The $75.00 Administrative Fee does NOT reserve any puppies you wish you view. The ONLY way to reserve a puppy is to submit a non-refundable deposit. NO EXCEPTION.
  4. Puppies must have had their first parvo vaccine before they may attend a Puppy Meet & Greet. This is typically done between 6-7 weeks, sometimes later for puppies charting very small.
  5. Puppy Meet & Greets take place during daylight hours at 1415 3rd Ave, Suite 102, Conway, SC. You will be given a set time of 45 minutes to visit and interact with 2 puppies.
  6. Adults and children are welcome to attend a Puppy Meet & Greet. ALL children MUST sit on the floor to handle a puppy and extremely small puppies may NOT be held by children under 8. Adults and children that are loud, rowdy or boisterous will be asked to leave.
  7. There is a limit of 4 people TOTAL that may attend a Puppy Meet & Greet.
