The Trinkle Turf is 16″ by 20″ and each is HANDMADE. The wood is water, mold, and mildew resistant. The green mat is also mold and mildew resistant. To clean the unit, simply rinse with a water hose and/or spray enzyme cleaner on it. The wood is stained a golden wheat color sure to blend well with any decor.
The Trinkle Turf eliminates the issue of the puppies shredding the piddle pad or moving it from its original place, because its design does not allow them to access it. The puppy “Goes Potty” on the top green mat and then the urine trinkles down to the mat. The puppy’s paws can not track the urine all over the house. (A washable or disposable pad can be used.) When the puppy goes “Number 2” on the top mat, simply bag and discard the feces in the trash or flush it.
I invented this little contraption when hurricane Matthew hit. (I had a lot of time on my hands, with minimal internet and sketchy power.) After the hurricane, I had EXTREME flooding and the dogs could not go outside to potty for 2 weeks, unless I took them via kayak and that was NOT happening. So, I built a LARGE Trinkle Turf for all of my dogs to use. To my surprise, it totally worked. The dogs would go to the Turf, Sniff, then “Go Potty.” PAWSOME!! I occurred to me that others might be struggling with potty training, so I set out to make a smaller version of it and then “quasi” mass produce them. Currently all of my adults are trained to “Go Potty” on the Trinkle Turf and I begin training puppies with this method as well.
