The littles went on a field trip today…to the Vet. Everyone is doing well. Gangsta puppies are: RIKERS, SING SING, and FOLSOM. Rikers is the only one that was “large” enough to get a vaccine and microchipped. Everyone had a Wellness Exam and a Fecal test; the fecal test was negative for internal parasites. The two tinies will return when they are larger for their vaccine and microchip.
Rikers has been released for this new home! ALL puppies in this litter don’t have any open fontanelles, luxating patella, heart murmurs or orbital issues. The Vet also does a physical exam on the throat area for possible collated trachea–which she found NO issues. Lil Folsom does have something funky going on with her back leg. The Vet confirmed it was NOT a luxating patella, but could be a dislocation because one of her littermates jumped on it or something that occurred in the womb. Once she is bigger I will bring her in for an x-ray to confirm the issue. She is currently ONLY 13 ounces at 10 weeks old. Even if she needs a splint, she is too small to put one on right now. So she is living large in my bedroom as part of the VIP girls!
