Yorkie Morsels
It has been an EVENTFUL few days at Southern Yorkies. Everyone has chosen a moving buddy and Cricket and Chicpea decided to whelp in the same night! (I didn’t get much sleep that night!) This weekend is the BIG MOVE. The Puppy Nursery is set up and ready to roll. The new adult room with their new Rainbow Runs are also ready. I have not had a chance to paint them, so technically they are wood colored runs, but they will be rainbow color soon enough. To keep things interesting, the remnants of tropical storm Sally blew through yesterday afternoon, while I was moving stuff to the new house. (You gotta love 2020.)
Some of you have reached out and checked on me and the Nerd Herd and I truly appreciate you keeping tabs on us. I also appreciate those of you that have been checking in; I want to see that you are as excited about a little yorkie squirt as I am.
In the new home, I do not have internet…yet. I have to call and schedule them to come out and set that up. I have power, water, trash, etc, but I just haven’t had time to get in touch with the internet guy. So, there may be a delay in my email replies or blog posts, but please know I am working VERY hard to get internet up and running. I NEED my internet; it’s like oxygen.
As for puppies in the house, I now have a houseful! The breakdown of colors and sex are given below. I will be waiting until puppies are 4-5 weeks before allowing new puppy owners to Call Dibs. By waiting, this allows me to have a better estimate on adult weight, temperament, gait, coat, etc.
- Lady Bug (6): Rainbow Litter- 3 Males 3 Females
- Chicpea(5): Traditional & Full Parti Litter- 4 Females; 1 SUPER TINY Male
- Cricket (3): Traditional & Full Parti Litter- 2 Males; 1 TINY Female
I have reached out to the photographer; I am going to try to have him come by and get pictures of everyone next weekend. This coming week, I have to find the studio lights, the photo set, the backdrop, etc. and start organizing things. It is somewhere in the huge pile of boxes in the middle of my living room. If I am not able to get pictures this coming week, it will be the following. I am requesting your patience with me.
In case you are just tuning into the Southern Yorkies Barking Blog, ALL PUPPIES FROM THE CURRENT LITTERS ARE SPOKEN FOR. If you are interested in a Southern Yorkies Puppy, then I would encourage you to get your “name in the hat.” I will be accepting applications and deposits in the next few weeks. But please know, the average wait time for a Southern Yorkies puppy is 4-6 months. You may complete the Waiting List app HERE.
