Exotic Yorkie Colors
Chocolate, Parti, Blonde Yorkies…Oh My!
Long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away- well not really that far, still on the same planet, there were ONLY traditional colored yorkies. And then new colors began to emerge….These colors weren’t really “new.” They were just not spoken of or registered until now. Some breeders even destroyed these pups with odd markings. Within the past eight to ten years American Kennel Club has chosen to acknowledge and register these unique beauties. The only markings that AKC will NOT register is the Merle…yet. (They said the same thing about a parti, chocolate, and blonde yorkies. Just give them time.) Puppies that express merle markings are CKC registered.
Because it is significantly harder to achieve these unique colors and much more expense is incurred to document their authenticity, they are more costly than traditional yorkies. This page is dedicated to give you an example of what the different colors look like specific to MY KENNEL. I have all colors of yorkie, including the Unicorn of the yorkie world…a Platinum-Parti. As of 2022, I now have yorkies with merle markings!
