HAPPY HOLIDAYS from Southern Yorkies!! Everyone was NICE this year and received LOTS of toys, treats, and cuddles this year. I have listed some of the favorites below:
MY PET PIG: This thing was a HUGE hit with all of the puppies. It is interactive. When someone (or a puppy) touches the pig’s nose, tail, and body-she does different things to include: walking, snorting, nuzzles, snorts. This seemed to be a favorite for Macaroni, Piper, Poppy, and Pixie.
SNUFFLE MAT: All of the puppies also enjoyed this, even the younger ones. I bought this off Amazon, but I think you could get a bath mat that is similar and it would be a lot cheaper. I sprinkled in Fruit Loops and let them work/ dig to get them out. I DO have the other snuffle mats, but the dogs don’t seem to like them as much as this one. It is also a pain to wash and dry. I have had it about 1 year and I can not get the mildew smell out. (It does not dry completely in the folds/creases) This seemed to be a favorite for all of the puppies.
JIGGLE BALL: This ball lights up and vibrates and the puppies seem to enjoy it. When introducing it, let them check it out WITHOUT it vibrating at first. Then once they are comfortable with it, turn it on and let them play! This seemed to be a favorite for the boys, especially when I turned it on.
SMALL EMOJI BALLS: These things are a HUGE hit for my puppies and adults. The only issue is the adults (Lady Bug) chews on them like bubble gum and kills them in record time. EVERYONE loves these things. I buy them in bulk year round.
Playtime would not be complete without stockings and a BARK-UTERIE Board. I bought this at Walmart on a whim and I wish I had bought a lot more…they are sold out now. They are made without rawhide and all of the puppies really liked the different flavors of treats.
Lastly, because I am not making the Trinkle Turfs anytime soon. I have been trying out the Dog Grass Pet Loo with my adults, nursing Moms, and VIP Bedroom Girls. ALL of my dogs 6 months and older used it without any issue. The puppies took a little longer to get used to the grass feel, but took to it in record time. I HIGHLY recommend getting this for your small dog to help you potty train’ it is money well spent. The grass and tray are heavier than some of the other setups like this, which is what you need. Puppies will drag the synthetic grass across the room and play with it. Of course, I added MY own puppy potty attractant-which works like a charm. (I am working on a way to mad produce my Potty Attractant. I find it works MUCH better than any of the store bought stuff. I hope to launch that in 2023.)
