I know; I have been quiet and have not posted much lately. I wanted to let you know what is going on…Noodles’ puppies came down with an upper respiratory infection from the crazy weather we have had. They all seem to be on the mend, even Macaroni- who has been really sick. The Vet put them on a round of doxycycline and that is working well. None of the other puppies are sick.
TIPSY and IGGY whelped early… and on the same night. Iggy’s has 4 little ones in her litter, all traditional in color: 1 female and 3 males. The birth weights for each puppy is around 4 ounces, which usually means TEACUP, but I think they will be TINY TOY in size, as adults and maybe the female a TEACUP.
Ms TIPSY also whelped and has 5, yes five little ones. TIPSY is a small little thing herself, so I am confident all of the puppies in this litter will be MICRO in size. The birth weights of the puppies in this litter range: 1.6 oz-3.2oz. The tiny chocolate parti male is the one with the 1.6 birth weight; I have never had a puppy survive with such a low weight, but we are going to try. He will take the syringe pretty well. I am syringe feeding ALL of her puppies around the clock to ensure they each get some milk. TIPSY has some milk, but not enough for everyone. I will be syringe feeding around the clock likely until their eyes open, which is 2 weeks…So, if you see me in Walmart looking like Madam Mim with stains on my shirt or my pants are on backwards–just know I have not taken up drinking. I am feeding puppies.
PHOTOS: I did get the images back from the photoshoot on December 10, 2022; I just have to find the time to upload them to the website and build the new webpages for Sky’s puppies. There are 3 in this litter, all toy size: Full Parti Female, Chocolate Merle Female and a Chocolate Blonde Parti. If you are on the GOLD list and interested in one of the puppies, please contact me. With all of this going on, I am asking for your patience. I will resume posting Yappy Hour, once I get Tipsy’s puppies gaining weight and stable.
