Hurricane Matthew: NO Yorkie Left Behind!

I truly appreciate those that have checked on me and the yorkies.  We ALL made it through the hurricane and things are getting back to normal, slowly.  I live right on the Waccamaw River and the flooding associated with the hurricane has been awful; it is expected to crest at 16.8 FEET sometime next week. During the hurricane Pieenie growled at items slamming into the house,  Cheese threw up, and Lindor pooped on her woobie… but given that we had multiple tornados in the yard, trees down,  and winds over 90 mph–I think the yorkies did pretty well.  I was extremely worried that Butters would go into premature labor because of the storm.  Extreme stress can cause a Dam to whelp before her given due date.  But Butters was an absolute champ. She chilled on my sleeping bag and slept most of the storm.

Myrtle Beach, SC was one of the hardest hit areas by hurricane Matthew….the above photo is what’s left of the Springmaid Pier, a local favorite.
